Requirements
  • This program is open to upper-division students interested in attending a field course in geoscience (including geophysics, soil science, and hydrology) that focuses on their practicing skills of field observation, data collection, analysis, and synthesis.
  • Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Selection is based on the importance of the field experience in meeting educational and career goals, the quality of the field aspects of the course, and the importance of the financial award in allowing them to participate in the program.
  • The program includes awards designed for minority students, and the Association for Women Geoscientists supports 2 awards designated for women.
