The Nancy Saunders Medical Education Scholarship is awarded to residents of the state of Hawai'i, with a preference for Maui residents, who demonstrate financial need and are pursuing an advanced degree in medicine. Renewal candidates, applicants with a minimum 3.0 GPA, and applicants who demonstrate an intent to return to practice on Maui, if not within the state of Hawai'i are given preference.

  • Pursuing an advanced degree in medicine as a medical doctor, doctor of osteopathy, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner
  • Enrolled in a graduatelevel program full-time
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given in this order: students with a minimum 3.0 GPA, Maui residents, and applicants who demonstrate an intent to return to practice on Maui, if not within the state of Hawai'i. Further preference is given to renewal candidates.
