National Guard of Georgia Scholarship for Colleges or Universities provides financial assistance to members of the Georgia National Guard and their spouses, children, and grandchildren who are interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to policyholders with the Georgia Guard Insurance Trust (GGIT) who are members of the National Guard Association of Georgia (NGAGA) or the Enlisted Association of the National Guard of Georgia (EANGGA); spouses, children, and grandchildren of NGAGA and EANGGA members are also eligible.
  • Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll as undergraduate students at a college or university in any state and have received an academic honor while in high school; family members must be enrolled full time but drilling Guard members may be enrolled half time.
  • Graduating high school seniors must have an SAT score of at least 1000, an ACT score of at least 19, or a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Students already enrolled at a college or university must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Selection is based on academics, character, and moral and personal traits.
