  • Planning to pursue a career in law enforcement Preference is given to a child or stepchild of a North Carolina Sheriff or Deputy Sheriff, a North Carolina law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty, a North Carolina Sheriff or Deputy Sheriff who is deceased or retired, or to a criminal justice student who demonstrates financial need.
