About the Scholarship

The Ned A. Hageal Memorial Scholarship is for graduating seniors from Valley High School in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Ned A. Hageal was a teacher and principal, and he taught and administered with passion, pride, and dedication. Applicants should be accepted by an institution of higher learning, and should demonstrate qualities of honesty, integrity, a strong work ethic, and high scholarship. Applicants should also demonstrate participation in a variety of activities both in the school and in the community. These are all qualities that Mr. Hageal exemplified in his lifetime.
