The New Century Scholars Award supports undergraduate students from Jackson, Macon, and Swain counties, North Carolina, attending Western Carolina University. Students who completed the New Century Scholars Program, earned an associate's degree from Southwestern Community College, and demonstrate academic achievement are welcome to apply, particularly those who demonstrate financial need.

Must have completed a twoyear degree from Southwestern Community College (SCC) and satisfied WCU liberal studies requirements, and completed the New Century Scholars Program at SCC

Seeking a professional certification or bachelor's degree fulltime Preference given to students with financial need.
