New Jersey Electronic Security Association Youth Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in New Jersey who are the children of police and fire personnel and are interested in attending college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors who are graduating from high schools in New Jersey and are the children of active-duty police and fire personnel.
  • Children of federal law enforcement officers, reserve officers, parttime employees, retired, disabled, or deceased fire and police personnel are not eligible.
  • Applicants must be planning to enroll at an accredited college or university in any state.
  • Selection is based on an essay of 500 to 1,000 words on what it means to them to have their parent or guardian involved in securing our community (20%), grade average (20%), SAT or ACT scores (20%), community service (25%), and academic prizes, awards, school and outside extracurricular activities, and hobbies (15%); financial need is not considered.
