New York State ProStart Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of New York who participated in the ProStart program of the New York State Restaurant Association (NYSRA) and are enrolled or accepted for enrollment at a college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to current and former NYSRA ProStart participants who are enrolled or planning to enroll full-time at a postsecondary institution in any state and major in food service, culinary arts, hospitality management, or a related field.
  • Applicants must submit a 1,000word essay on why they feel they should receive this scholarship, the type of career in the hospitality industry for which they are preparing, and their future goals.
  • Selection is based on that essay, GPA, letters of recommendation, and presentation of the application.
