Nora Van Burgh Development Scholarship provides funding to members of the Wyoming Library Association who are interested in continuing their education.

Requirements
  • Applicants must have been members of the association for at least 2 years, be residents of Wyoming, and be employed in a Wyoming library.
  • They may apply for funds for continuing education activities, workshops, seminars, exchanges, and conferences, as well as for college and university courses that directly relate to their effectiveness in a library position.
  • Nondegreed library employees are particularly encouraged to apply.
  • The selection criteria are: 1) the goals for the project (including anticipated benefits for personal growth and for the library) are clearly stated (25 points); 2) the amount requested is appropriate, reasonable, adequate, and justifiable to support the stated goals (25 points); 3) the applicant describes measures to determine success and effectiveness of the project (25 points); and 4) the effort includes a plan to publicize the grant (10 points).
