About the Scholarship

The NordicBear Scholarship is offered to children of employees of Northern Fruit-affiliated orchards (Chelan Red, Kodiak, Lobo Rojo, Sun Valley, or Zorro Blanco). Parents must have worked at one of the affiliated orchards for at least 1,000 hours per year for two consecutive years. Students planning to attend a community college in Washington, or any four-year college or technical/trade school in the U.S., are encouraged to apply.

Requirements
  • Child of an employee of Northern Fruit affiliated orchards (Chelan Red, Kodiak, Lobo Rojo, Sun Valley, or Zorro Blanco), minimum 1,000 hours worked annually
  • Minimum 3.00 GPA
  • Resident of the U.S.
  • High school senior or undergraduate student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree fulltime
  • Attending a community college within Washington State or a fouryear university within the U.S.
