Requirements
  • This program is open to undergraduates at universities in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota who have completed a transportation-related internship with a public or private organization within the region.
  • Applicants must be enrolled fulltime in civil engineering or a transportation-related field and have an interest in traffic or transportation engineering.
  • They must submit brief statements on whether their internship turned out as they expected, what they learned during their internship if participating in the internship changed any of their future career plans or goals, and how they plan to build on what they learned as they prepare for a career in traffic engineering.
  • Selection is based primarily on a letter from their supervisor regarding their work in the organization.
