North Coast Chapter California Women in Timber Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of Del Norte and Humboldt counties in California who are interested in preparing for a career in the building trade and/or the forest products industry at a college in California.

Requirements

This program is open to women and men who 1) are attending or have attended a high school in Del Norte or Humboldt counties; 2) are currently enrolled at College of the Redwoods or Humboldt State University; or 3) are enrolled full-time at a college or university in California and studying forestry or a natural resources-related field.

Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

They may major in any field, but special consideration is given to students preparing for a career in natural resourcesrelated fields, especially forestry.

Special consideration is also given to applicants who have family involved with the forest products industry and/or California Women in Timber.
