The Nursing Education Scholarship Program is available to residents of Illinois who are enrolled in or accepted for admission to a nursing program within that state. Students who are pursuing a certificate, associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree in nursing are eligible to apply. Recipients agree to the nurse employment or nurse educator employment obligation after graduation.

Requirements
  • Resident of Illinois for at least one year prior to application
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree
  • Studying nursing
  • Planning to attend school in Illinois
  • Begin full or part-time employment as a licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, or nurse educator in Illinois within six months of graduating
  • U.S. citizen, conditional permanent resident, or permanent resident
