The O'Brien-Vrba Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate students who live in an approved rural county in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, or Wisconsin. Students who demonstrate financial need are welcome to apply. Special consideration is given to applicants of the Catholic Faith, those who attend a Catholic institution, and/or who participate in activities through the Newman Center at their college.

Requirements

Minimum 2.75 GPA

Currently reside in or have resided in an approved rural county in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, or Wisconsin during high school

College sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student

Seeking a bachelor's or graduate degree fulltime

Attending school in the U.S.

Participation in community service, extracurricular activities, or work

Maximum Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of less than $150,000

Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to applicants of the Catholic Faith, those who attend Catholic institutions, and/or who participate in activities through the Newman Center at their college.
