Oklahoma Scholarship Competition recognizes and rewards, with college scholarships, high school students in Oklahoma who achieve high scores on a test about the state's history and geography.

Requirements
  • This competition is open to students in grades 9-12 at high schools in Oklahoma.
  • Applicants take a 2hour test on the state's history and geography at their choice of 13 sites around the state.
  • Students in each county who achieve high scores on the test are awarded these scholarships for use at a college, university, community college, or vocational/technical school.
  • Some awards are in the form of tuition grants that may be used only at designated postsecondary institutions in Oklahoma; others are scholarships that may be used at any college or university in the country.
  • Students may earn 1 scholarship and 1 tuition grant during each of the 4 years that they compete in the program.
