Requirements
  • This program is open to licensed radio amateurs of general class or higher.
  • Applicants must be enrolled at an accredited 4year college or university and majoring in a field of STEM. Along with their application, they must submit an essay on the role amateur radio has played in their lives and provide documentation of financial need.
  • Special consideration is given to adult applicants beginning or returning to school and to prior recipients reapplying for an additional year.
