About the Scholarship

The Oliver L. Johnson & William A. Lester Families is for graduating seniors from one of the following counties in Pennsylvania: Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Washington, or Westmoreland. Successful applicants should display both academic ability and leadership skills and should recognize that a solid educational foundation is a necessary prerequisite to making a positive contribution to society. African Americans and Black African students born in Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal-Gambia, Zaire, Kenya, or Cameroon receive special consideration.
