Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of Massachusetts who are single heads of households with dependent children younger than 18 years of age.
  • Applicants must be attempting to enter or reenter college in Massachusetts to work full or parttime on an associate or bachelor's degree.
  • They must apply through a participating social service organization at sites in Massachusetts.
  • They must also apply for financial aid and participate in an interview.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required.
  • Selection is based on financial need (family earnings below 200% of the federal poverty level), clear and realistic academic and career goals, potential for success in a chosen academic program, and desire to participate actively in all aspects of the program.
