About the Scholarship

The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division Workers Memorial Scholarship supports current and prior high school graduates, including GED recipients and home-schooled students, who are dependents or spouses of Oregon workers who were fatally injured on the job or incurred permanent total disability, as they continue their postsecondary education. Students who plan to enroll full time at a college, university, or trade school in the United States are encouraged to apply.

Requirements
  • Resident of the U.S.
  • Current and prior high school graduates (including GED and home school)
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree fulltime
  • U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen
  • Dependents or spouses of an Oregon worker who suffers from permanent total disability (PTD) due to workplace incidents, OR those receiving benefits from the fatal injury of an Oregon worker
