The Permian Basin Scholarship for Petroleum and Mechanical Engineering is available to undergraduates at the University of Texas at Austin – Cockrell School of Engineering. Students seeking a bachelor's degree in petroleum or mechanical engineering, who reside in one of the qualifying seventeen counties, are encouraged to apply.

Resident of the U.S.

Attend the University of Texas at Austin, Cockrell School of Engineering

Undergraduate student

Graduates of high school in Andrews, Borden, Crane, Dawson, Ector, Gaines, Glasscock, Howard, Loving, Martin, Midland, Pecos, Reeves, Terrell, Upton, Ward, or Winkler counties, Texas

Seeking a bachelor's degree

Studying petroleum or mechanical engineering

Plan to pursue a career in the petroleum or mechanical engineering field

Demonstrate capacity to succeed in academics and commitment to Christian principles and lifestyle
