Requirements
  • This program is open to graduating high school seniors in Sonoma County, California who plan to attend a college, university, or vocational/technical school in any state.
  • Applicants must be of Japanese ancestry and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Their statement should emphasize their Japanese ancestry and/or their connection with the Asian/Japanese American community and how it has affected or impacted who they are as well as their personal goals.
  • For 1 of the scholarships, applicants must reside in and attend school in the Rohnert Park/Cotati or Petaluma High School District.
  • Financial needs may be considered if other criteria are equal.
