The Phoenix Two-Spirit Native & First Nations Scholarship supports Two-Spirit and LGBTQ+ Native, First Nations, and/or Alaska Native students from Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington. Students who demonstrate a history of activism and/or leadership in the Native community or are planning to get more deeply involved in Native communities in the future are encouraged to apply.

Requirements
  • Resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington for a minimum of three months prior to the application deadline or lived within the state for at least one out of the five prior years
  • High school senior, undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, medical, or law student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, bachelor's, graduate, law, medical degree, or Ph.D
  • TwoSpirit and LGBTQ+ Native, First Nations, and/or Alaska Native students
  • Proven leadership in the LGBTQ+ and Native community
  • Lack of a broader LGBTQ+ community support system
  • Encountered additional barriers to education, including economic, racial, social, geographical, or being politically disenfranchised
  • Demonstrate financial need
