Requirements
  • This program is open to students entering their final year for an undergraduate or master's degree in a professional planning program at a university in California.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate that their studies or projects are focused on healthy communities.
  • They must submit 1) a 500word personal statement explaining why planning is important to them, their potential contribution to the profession of planning in California, and how this scholarship would help them to complete their degree; and 2) a 500-word essay on what they consider to be 1 of the greatest planning challenges in California today.
  • Selection is based on academic performance, commitment to serve the planning profession in California, and financial need.
