Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors and entering or continuing college students who have a connection to Oregon and Washington, by living there, attending a school there, and planning to work there.
  • Applicants must be interested in preparing for a career in a trade that requires the use of traditional tools such as those collected by members of Pacific Northwest Tool Collectors (PNTC).
  • Examples of such trades include dental laboratory technician; electrician: engineering technician (e.g., civil, electrical, mechanical, structural, surveying); mechanic (e.g., automotive, aviation, diesel, marine); metal fabrication artist (e.g., machinist, sheet metal technician, tool and die maker, welder); watch and clock repair; or woodworker (e.g., boat builder, cabinet maker, carpenter).
  • They must be able to demonstrate financial need.
