The Pritchard-Johnson Grit Scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors from Thurston High School in Redford, Michigan. Students who are planning to pursue a course of study in helping careers such as education, psychology, counseling, ministry, or social work are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to students who have had to overcome obstacles.

Attend Thurston High School, Redford, Michigan

High school senior

Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree fulltime

Studying education, psychology, counseling, ministry, or social work

Planning to attend school in the U.S.

Participation in extracurricular activities or leadership

Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students who have had to overcome obstacles or other atrisk factors to persist and show “grit” in their accomplishments.
