The Public Safety Memorial Grant is available to dependent children of a Georgia Public Safety Officer who was permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty. Residents of Georgia who are pursuing a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree at a postsecondary institution in Georgia are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Resident of Georgia
  • High school senior or undergraduate student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree as a fulltime student
  • Planning to attend school in Georgia
  • Dependent of a Georgia Public Safety Officer who was permanently disabled or killed in the line of duty
  • U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or permanent resident
  • Be in compliance with Selective Service registration requirements and the Georgia DrugFree Postsecondary Education Act of 1990
  • Not be in default or owe a refund on a student financial aid program
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress
