The R. G. Frantz AFL-CIO Technical Trades Scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors or adults associated with organized labor who have participated in community service and extracurricular activities. Students who demonstrate merit through academic achievement, community involvement, and have a modest family income level are welcome to apply.

  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, conditional permanent resident, refugee, or asylum granted
  • Participate in community service and extracurricular activities
  • Demonstrate merit through academic achievement, community involvement, modest income level, school or work attendance, responsibility, communication skills and abilities, and cooperation Preference is given to students who seek a technical certification related to organized labor and to students who may be unemployed, underemployed, and/or dislocated workers.
