Rachel Kirby Thomas and Dr. Frank Bancroft Thomas 4-H Foods and Nutrition Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors in North Carolina who have participated in foods and nutrition programs of 4-H and are planning to attend college in the state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors who have participated in foods and nutrition activities of 4-H in North Carolina.
  • Applicants must be planning to attend a college or university in the state; preference is given to those planning to major in a foodsrelated area.
  • Selection is based on accomplishments in 4H (50%), academic achievement as indicated by GPA and class rank (25%), and aptitude for college as indicated by grades and SAT or ACT scores (25%).
  • Parents may include a confidential letter describing any special financial concerns.
