Ray Smith Scholarship provides financial assistance to employees and family members of employees working for companies that belong to the Colorado Motor Carriers Association (CMCA) who are interested in studying a mechanical field at a college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors and older college-bound students enrolled or planning to enroll in a technical, diesel, or mechanical school or college in any state.

Applicants must be an employee of a CMCA member company or an immediate family member of an employee.

Selection is based on an essay about themselves and their goals, academic achievement (including ACT/SAT scores and GPA of at least 3.0), academic honors or awards received involvement in leadership or extracurricular school activities, involvement in community or other organizations, and 3 letters of recommendation.
