The Rebecca Gentry Wilson “Rise Up” Scholarship supports graduates of Person High School, Roxboro Community School, Roxboro Christian Academy, a qualified homeschool, or a North Carolina Free Public Residential High School who plan to pursue a career in teaching or another field that supports education. Students who demonstrate financial need, perseverance, academic achievement, leadership, and community service are eligible to apply.

Requirements

Resident of the U.S.

Graduate of Person High School, Roxboro Community School, Roxboro Christian Academy, a qualified home school authorized by the NC Division of NonPublic Education, or an NC Free Public Residential High School in North Carolina

Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree

Studying education and teaching

Plans to pursue a career in teaching or a related career within or supporting the field of education

Participation in community service or leadership

Overcame adversity

Demonstrate financial need
