The Renaissance Scholars Program - Winter is open to high school seniors who reside in Illinois or Oregon, college students attending a 4-year school in Illinois or Oregon, commuity college students attending a school in those states who are planning to transfer to a 4-year school, or students attending Elizabeth City State University, Stillman College, or North Carolina Central University. Students who are the first in their families to attend a 4-year college are encouraged to apply. Recipients are chosen for their demonstrate strength of character and a strong work ethic.

Requirements

Minimum 3.00 GPA

Resident of Illinois or Oregon

High school senior who resides in Illinois or Oregon, **OR**

Community college student in Illinois or Oregon planning to transfer to any 4year school, **OR**

College freshman or sophomore attending a 4year school in Illinois or Oregon, **OR**

Current freshman or sophomore college student attending Elizabeth City State University, Stillman College, or North Carolina Central University, or planning to transfer to one of these schools

Seeking a bachelor's degree

Participation in community service, extracurricular activities, leadership, or work

Exhibit a concern for others and a strong work ethic

First in family to attend college

Demonstrate financial need
