The Richard Goolsby Scholarship is awarded to full-time graduate and undergraduate students who have demonstrated interest or experience in the plastics industry. Financial need, academic performance, extracurricular activities, and personal achievements are considered. Special consideration is given to residents of South Carolina as well as those from central or western North Carolina.

Requirements
  • Enrolled as undergraduate or graduate student
  • Seeking an associate, bachelor's, or graduate degree as a fulltime student
  • Studying for a degree in the plastics industry (chemistry; physics; chemical, industrial, or mechanical engineering; or business administration)
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and community service
  • Demonstrate financial need Preference is given to students living in areas served by the Carolinas Section of the Society of Plastics Engineers (central and western North Carolina and all of South Carolina).
