Richard H. Townley Scholarship provides financial assistance to the children and grandchildren of members of the Central California Sierra Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) who are entering freshmen or sophomores at a college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to children and grandchildren of SWANA Central California Sierra Chapter who are graduating high school seniors or students already enrolled as freshmen at a 2- or 4-year college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must submit an essay on their financial need and their academic program.
  • Selection is based on that essay (10%), academics, including GPA and academic achievement awards and honors (50%), citizenship (20%), and extracurricular activities (20%).
