The Riehl Science Scholarship recognizes students who live in or have graduated from a public or private high school in the 21 counties in central Georgia served by the Community Foundation of Central Georgia. Applicants must be seeking their first bachelor's degree with a major in chemistry, biology, physics, or geology. Special consideration is given to students who demonstrate financial need.

Requirements
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Resident of or graduating high school senior of a public or private high school in Baldwin, Bibb, Bleckley, Butts, Coffee, Crawford, Dodge, Houston, Jasper, Jones, Lamar, Laurens, Monroe, Peach, Pulaski, Putnam, Spalding, Taylor, Twiggs, Upson, or Wilkinson counties in Georgia
  • Seeking a bachelor's degree in the field of chemistry, biology, physics, or geology
  • Pursuing a first undergraduate degree
  • High school coursework includes advanced science and math courses with no grade lower than a B in any math or science courses Preference is given to students with financial need.
