Requirements
  • This program is open to students enrolled or planning to enroll at a 4-year college or university, 2-year accredited college, or vocational/technical school or training institution.
  • Applicants must be children of roadway workers killed or permanently disabled in work zones, including mobile operations and the installation of roadway safety features.
  • They must submit a statement, up to 200 words, explaining their reasons for wanting to continue their education and listing any volunteer activities or accomplishments.
  • Selection is based on that statement, academic performance, 2 letters of recommendation, and financial need.
