Requirements
  • This program is open to ASCE members who are entering their sophomore, junior, or senior year in an ABET-accredited program of civil engineering.
  • Applicants must submit an essay (up to 500 words) in which they discuss why they chose to become a civil engineer, their specific ASCE student chapter involvement, and longterm goals and plans.
  • Selection is based on that essay, their justification for the award, educational plan, academic performance, potential for development, demonstrated leadership qualities, and financial need.
