The Robert Stempel Scholarship is awarded to graduating seniors from selected high schools in Detroit, Michigan. Students who enroll full-time in a science or engineering program at a college or university are encouraged to apply.

  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree
  • Studying in engineering or science
  • Fulltime student
  • Planning to attend school in the U.S.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities involving science and engineering
  • Eligible for Pell Grant
  • Demonstrate financial need Employees of the Foundation and the high schools listed, members of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, members of the selection committee, and their dependents are ineligible for this scholarship.
