Roberta D. Thiry Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of Kansas who are working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in nursing.

Requirements

This program is open to residents of Kansas who are working on a nursing degree.

Applicants must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

They must be enrolled in at least 6 hours per semester, but preference is given to fulltime students.

First priority is given to R.N.s admitted to the B.S.N. completion program at Kansas Wesleyan University.

If no applicants qualify for that first priority, second priority is given to students enrolled in the third or fourth year of the B.S.N. program at Kansas Wesleyan University.

If no applicants qualify for that second priority, the third priority is given to students enrolled in master's or doctoral programs, especially residents of Dickinson, Ellsworth, Lincoln, Mitchell, Ottawa, or Saline counties.

If no applicants qualify for that third priority, the fourth priority is given to students enrolled in other Kansas B.S.N. or graduate nursing programs.

U.S. citizenship is required.
