About the Scholarship

The Rogers and Janice Whitener Creative Writing Scholarship is available to recent high school graduates entering Appalachian State University for the first time and intending to seek a degree in creative writing. Students with financial need and a record of active, positive engagement in their academic and creative communities are welcome to apply. Recipients are chosen for their financial need and demonstrated citizenship.
