The Ronny J. Coleman Fire and Emergency Services Leader of the Future Scholarship recognizes Phi Theta Kappa members who demonstrate the potential for or involvement in public safety or service. Students who are enrolled in a regionally accredited associate degree public safety program, with emphasis on fire science and technology or emergency medical services are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Phi Theta Kappa member
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Attending a 2year college on at least a part-time basis
  • Seeking an associate degree in public safety (including fire science, fire technology, emergency medical services, fire and emergency services administration, community risk reduction, fire engineering, fire prevention, or public safety education
  • Completed a minimum of 50% of an associate degree
  • U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident
