About the Scholarship

The Rosemary & Nellie Ebrie Scholarship program supports residents of Hawaii who demonstrate financial need. This scholarship honors Rosemary Ebrie and her mother Nellie. Rosemary Ebrie served as executive director of the YWCA in Hilo as well as chair of the Commission on Children and Youth. Students with Hawaiian ancestry, who were born and spent the majority of their youth on the island may be given preference.
