The Rosenberg-Ibarra Humanitarian Scholarship offers need-based scholarships to LGBTIQ+ students who reside in Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington. Students who demonstrate leadership and activities that promote understanding, awareness, and appreciation of persons of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Requirements
  • Resident of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, or Washington for a minimum of three months prior to the application deadline or lived within the state for at least one out of the five prior years
  • Undergraduate student
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree
  • LGTBIQ+
  • Participate in activities that promote understanding, awareness, and appreciation of persons of diverse backgrounds
  • Lack of a broader LGBTQ+ community support system
  • Encountered additional barriers to education, including economic, racial, social, geographical, or being politically disenfranchised
  • Proven leadership potential in the LGBTQ+ community or field of study
