Rub<A3>en Salazar Scholarship provides financial assistance to undergraduate and graduate student members of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ) who are interested in preparing for careers in the media.

Requirements

This program is open to Hispanic American high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students who are interested in preparing for a career in English- or Spanish-language print, broadcast (radio or television), online, or photojournalism; students majoring in other fields must be able to demonstrate a strong interest in preparing for a career in journalism.

Applicants must be enrolled fulltime at a college or university in the United States or Puerto Rico.

They must be NAHJ members.

Selection is based on a commitment to the field of journalism, academic achievement, awareness of the Latino community, and financial need.
