The Rute Avelar Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students in the UWW Interdisciplinary Studies program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Students who demonstrate both financial need and academic excellence are encouraged to apply. Special consideration is given to those currently working in, or planning a career in, suicide prevention.
