Sacramento CalCPA Chapter Scholarship provides financial assistance to accounting students at colleges, universities, and community colleges in northern California.

Requirements

This program is open to full- and part-time students enrolled at community colleges and 4-year universities within the Sacramento chapter's geographical boundaries (from the southern borders of Napa, Yolo, Sacramento, Amador, Alpine, and Solano counties north to the Oregon border and east to the Nevada border, excluding the coastal counties of San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino, Humboldt, and Del Norte).

Community college students must have an emphasis on accounting and plans to transfer or graduate within the next 18 months.

University students must be working on a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.

All applicants must submit a 500word essay on their interest in accounting and their career goals, information on relevant internships or accounting experience, involvement in extracurricular college activities, involvement in community activities, honors and awards they have received, and a description of how they are financing their college education.
