Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in the Sacramento, California area (the counties of Amador, El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Solano, Sutter, and Yolo) or graduates of those high schools attending college in California or Nevada.
  • Applicants must be majoring or planning to major in engineering or a related technical field of study (e.g., architecture, mathematics, physics, earth sciences).
  • Selection is based on the narrative and references (30%), GPA (30%), home or school in the Sacramento area (10%), extracurricular activities and community service (25%), and relevant military or related experience (5%).
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
