Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in the San Fernando area of Los Angeles and planning to enroll at a college or university in any state.

Applicants must be student members of the JACL or family members for at least 1 year in the San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center (JACC).

They must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher, a score of at least 1700 on the SAT, and a record of substantive service to their school, local, and Japanese American, and/or Asian American communities.
