Sakaguchi Graduating High School Senior Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who are members of the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) San Fernando chapter and planning to attend college in any state.

Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in the San Fernando area of Los Angeles and planning to enroll at a college or university in any state.
  • Applicants must be student members of the JACL or family members for at least 1 year in the San Fernando Valley Japanese American Community Center (JACC).
  • They must have a GPA of 3.2 or higher, a score of at least 1700 on the SAT, and a record of substantive service to their school, local, and Japanese American, and/or Asian American communities.
