SAWWA Annual Scholarship provides financial assistance to residents of the Sacramento area of California who is interested in attending college in any state to work on a degree, especially in the area of water resources.

Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of the Sacramento area who are enrolled or planning to enroll at an accredited 4-year college or university, community college, or trade school.
  • Students studying a field with a focus on water resources are encouraged to apply, but that is not required.
  • Applicants must submit a 2page personal statement about themselves, including their aspirations and goals, interests, and financial need.
  • Selection is based on academics (25%), community involvement (15%), leadership traits (15%), awards (10%), work history (5%), personal attributes (5%), and financial need (25%).
