The ScholarCHIPS Scholarship Program supports graduating high school seniors whose primary caregiver has been incarcerated. Students who demonstrate financial need and reside in the Washington, D.C. metro area are eligible to apply.

  • Minimum 2.00 GPA
  • Resident of District of Columbia, Arlington or Fairfax counties, cities of Alexandria or Falls Church in Virginia, or Montgomery or Prince George's counties in Maryland
  • Graduating high school senior
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree
  • Full or parttime student
  • Incarcerated parent(s) or an immediate family member(s) in prison who has served as the applicant’s primary caregiver
  • Demonstrate financial need
