Second Chance Scholarship provides financial assistance for continuing education to nontraditional students from Illinois.

Requirements
  • This program is open to Illinois residents who are nontraditional students older than 25 years of age.
  • Applicants must be interested in pursuing continuing education to acquire new job skills or update present skills.
  • They must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and be attending or planning to attend school in any state to major in any field.
  • Selection is based on service and leadership (15 points), financial need (50 points), and scholastic ability (25 points).
  • A $5 processing fee is required. Completed applications must be submitted to the ESA state counselor who then verifies the information before forwarding them to the scholarship director.
